Announcing Sun Trek by Sunset Park RV
Sunset Park RV debuts four hard side, non-slide, aluminum-framed, all-composite, and vacuum-bonded truck campers for mid-size and full-size trucks. The Sun Trek 800 is a stand out—the lightest dry bath on the market!
You went there, did that, and have the mud-splattered, dust-coated, snow and salt encrusted, bug-caked photos to prove it. Send us your dirtiest rig photos and the story behind the adventure. Who has the dirtiest rig ever? Let’s find out!
Adventurer announces significant updates including “next gen” redesigns inside and out, Azdel composite wall construction, the new Camp Cot bunk, acrylic windows standard, 12-volt refrigerators standard, Truma systems standard, and more. Adventurer is on the move.
Every summer, Regula and Daniel fly over from Switzerland, pick up their Ford F-350 and Rugged Mountain 11RL, and explore North America to their hearts content. Here’s how they do it, and what they’ve discovered. Don’t miss these Swiss!
What if your truck camper’s “generator” was your truck?
@phoenixpopup built this custom L2 pop-up camper around the Ford F-150 PowerBoost hybrid system, allowing the camper to run directly from the truck’s onboard battery. The induction cooktop, microwave, and 12-volt appliances can all operate using electricity supplied by the truck, while the water heater and furnace can run on either propane or electric power.
When the hybrid battery reaches a predetermined level, the PowerBoost system automatically starts the engine, recharges the battery, and keeps power flowing to the camper. As long as there’s gasoline in the tank, the system can continue supplying electricity.
It’s a fascinating look at how hybrid trucks are changing the truck camping experience—and one possible glimpse into the future.
Would you trust your truck to power your entire camper?

Two @scoutcampers Olympic truck campers: a hard side and a pop-up. What’s the difference?
The Olympic pop-up requires more setup, but has a lower center of gravity and less wind resistance while driving. When popped up, it features 360-degree windows that bring the outside in.
The Olympic hard side requires virtually no setup beyond deploying the entry steps. It provides better insulation from harsh temperatures and a quieter camping experience.
Which Scout Olympic fits your truck camping lifestyle? Let us know in the comments: HARD SIDE or POP-UP.
