Scout and SITKA transform ten Olympic hard side campers into a purpose-built basecamp for hunters and anglers. Lace up your boots; this one is about to get technical.

When Scout launched the Olympic in 2020, it brought a distinctly modular approach to the truck camper marketplace. The composite shell and portable systems stripped the truck camper concept back to the essentials and invited owners to decide what they needed from there.

In the years since, Scout owners have taken that invitation and run with it. They’ve expanded water systems, storage solutions, exterior showers, and other modifications tailored for the way they camp. Earlier this year, one extensively customized Olympic had us asking, “How Far Can You Modify a Scout Camper?”

Now Scout has answered that question in a completely new way by partnering with SITKA Gear, a Bozeman, Montana, company specializing in high-performance hunting and fishing apparel. SITKA brought its field expertise to a Scout Olympic reworked for hunters and anglers who return to camp with wet clothing, muddy boots, and specialized gear. The exterior Optifade camouflage wrap gets your attention first, but beneath the camo is a collection of upgrades designed for serious backcountry use.

Here’s the catch: Scout built just ten Scout x SITKA Edition campers. If you spot one at a trailhead, take a picture. You may not see another.

Scout and SITKA approach the outdoors from different corners of the industry, but share a similar objective. Both companies design lightweight, durable equipment intended to help people travel farther and remain outside longer. Scout builds the basecamp, and SITKA makes the gear that comes back to it wet, muddy, and sometimes covered in snow.

That combination is most evident in the heated gear locker, which gives wet and muddy gear a dedicated place to dry without making a mess inside the camper. Jackets, gloves, and other outerwear can hang in the locker, while muddy boots and snow-covered footwear stay contained below.

Scout puts its diesel heater to double duty, warming the camper while directing heat into the gear locker through a duct. A floor pan catches dripping water and melting snow, while a drain carries the moisture outside the camper.

While you may carefully place your wet jacket and muddy boots in the gear locker, your dog did not get that memo. This is where SITKA’s experience with soft goods and performance materials directly influenced the camper. The result is GORE-TEX upholstery.

If GORE-TEX reflects SITKA’s experience with high-performance fabrics, the Richlite countertops reflect Scout’s focus on durable composite materials. Richlite is made from layers of resin-infused paper compressed into a thin, dense surface that is moisture- and scratch-resistant.

That makes Richlite a logical choice for food preparation, equipment organization, and whatever else lands on the counter after a day outdoors. This is not a surface that needs to be treated like fine furniture. Use it, clean it, and get back outside.

Adventurer Manufacturing is making Richlite composite countertops and surfaces standard across its 2027 Adventurer camper lineup. That tells us this is part of a broader shift toward stronger and more durable materials across the company’s camper brands.

The Scout x SITKA Edition camper debuts a redesigned entry door with improved insulation and a tighter seal. An entry door may not be the first feature that gets your attention, but it can be a major source of drafts, heat loss, dust, and water intrusion. The new door directly supports the four-season focus of this camper and should help keep the interior warmer, cleaner, and better protected from the weather.

The Scout x SITKA Edition camper continues Scout’s modular approach with a new wall-mounted folding table. We have not seen or used it in person, but the design looks promising and could be a welcome addition to other Scout models.

Integrated floor storage makes additional use of the dinette area. Between the folding table and hidden storage, Scout has added function without filling the Olympic’s open interior with more permanent furniture and cabinetry.

Hunters and anglers carry equipment that is long, bulky, expensive, and often needed at a moment’s notice. Bows, rifles, fishing rods, packs, and related gear do not fit neatly into conventional camper cabinets. Without dedicated storage, they wind up on the floor, across the dinette, in the cabover, or piled into the truck cab.

A custom Zarges bow mount gives archery equipment its own protected and accessible location. The bow remains secure and out of the main living area, reducing the chance of other gear bumping the sight and affecting its alignment.

Exterior storage on the passenger side of the camper provides designated locations for rifles, fishing rods, packs, and other essential equipment. The compartment can be opened from outside or accessed from inside through a port beneath the window.

Hunters and anglers often need to travel well beyond established campgrounds, electrical hookups, and cellular service to reach their destination. Does that sound familiar? Powered by Scout’s Unbound Power Tower (UPT), Baja Designs exterior lighting illuminates the campsite, Garmin PowerSwitch manages connected accessories, and Starlink Mini provides off-grid connectivity.

The Scout x SITKA Edition camper is built exclusively on the Olympic hard side short bed platform. The stated dry weight is 1,650 pounds, and the MSRP is $55,000 USD. 

Beginning today, September 9, 2026, the Scout x Sitka Edition camper can be seen in person and picked up at Scout Hub 001 in Abbotsford, British Columbia, or Scout Hub 002 in Yakima, Washington. The campers are available exclusively through Scout Campers until the ten-unit run sells out.

Each Scout x SITKA Edition camper is individually serialized as one of ten. Before the camper leaves the Yakima factory, the owner’s name is added to the plaque. Talk about making it yours.

Will every Scout owner need a bow mount, heated gear locker, or Optifade camouflage? Absolutely not. But for ten hunters and anglers, the Scout x SITKA Edition was built specifically for their equipment, pursuits, and the conditions they encounter.
