Welcome to the 2025 Four Wheel Camper Buyers Guide with nine pop-up truck campers classified by price, weight, and capacities.

Four Wheel’s short-bed models are the Fleet, Hawk, Raven, and the Shell.  Four Wheel has one long bed model called the Grandby.  The Fleet and Swift are pop-up campers for small trucks.  Four Wheel has three pop-up flatbed models; the Grandby, Fleet, and Hawk.  Project M campers are for nearly every truck size.

Four Wheel Grandby

Four Wheel Base (Shell) Model

The 2025 Four Wheel Base (Shell) Model is a pop-up truck camper with an MSRP of $18,995.

Most Four Wheel Camper slide-in models are available as Base (Shell) models.  Base (Shell) models share the same general construction features as the regular Four Wheel Camper product line, but are lighter in weight and less expensive.  They allow you to personalize the camper’s interior.  Please contact the factory or your local FWC dealer directly for further information about the Four Wheel Camper Base (Shell) models.

Four Wheel Project M

It’s a traditional Four Wheel Camper with upper side walls, pop-up roof, windows and cabover sleeping area.  The camper’s floor, lower side walls, and interior cabinetry are removed.  Four Wheel Campers offers a number of top, side, and hitch racks to carry kayaks, bikes, skis and more.  Please contact the factory directly for further information about Project M.

Truck Camper Dry and Wet Weights

Truck camper base dry weights have been provided by the manufacturers.  Be aware that (a) each manufacturer has different standards and options that are included or excluded from their base dry weights, and (b) very few truck campers leave the factory without additional options.  Make sure to add the weight of additional options for your truck and camper matching calculations. 

The Truck Camper Magazine Buyers Guide uses a standardized equation to calculate truck camper wet weights. Starting with the manufacturer’s base dry weight, the equation adds the full fresh water weight, full hot water heater weight, full propane tank weight, battery weight, and 500 pounds for stuff.
