Adventurer Manufacturing is bringing back the non-slide Adventurer 89RB and the full-wall slide Adventurer 89RBS. With fresh interiors and exterior graphics, these models are ready for 2025.
During the shortages of 2020, Adventurer Manufacturing made the difficult choice to cut down their product offerings in order to focus on their core lines and models. Other camper manufacturers made similar choices in order to keep their production lines running.
Four years later, the shortages have subsided and Adventurer is bringing back the 89RB and 89RBS with their 2025 interior, exterior, and updates.
For a quick refresher on both models, we turned to our exclusive announcement on the 89RB and 89RBS, and our subsequent reviews.
2025 Adventurer 89RB
The Adventurer 89RB hard side, non-slide, wet bath truck camper debuted in Truck Camper Magazine in January of 2013.
The camper was developed to improve upon and replace the then two-decade-old Adventurer 810WS—a time-tested and proven floor plan. The resulting Adventurer 89RB was significantly more modern with a more open floor plan, larger holding tanks, and less weight at a lower cost.
That would have been impressive enough, but the Adventurer team also designed the 89RB’s floor length and center of gravity to fit long and standard short bed trucks, even with the built-in generator option. That was practically unheard of at the time and is still a rare feature today.
I reviewed the 89RB later that year at Princess Craft RV. Here’s my wrap-up from that review:
“For anyone out there who has convinced themselves that they need a slide-out truck camper to be happy, please do yourself a favor and take a look at the 2013 Adventurer 89RB. It’s bound to be lighter than any slide-out model you’re considering and, most likely, less expensive. Yes, you will give up some floor space, but you may not care as much as you think.
The floor plan is proven, the aesthetics are modern and fresh, and this camper just screams open road adventure. For the consumer who already shares our non-slide wet bath preferences, the 2013 Adventurer 89RB should be on your short list. This camper is a winner.”
The 2025 Adventurer 89RB picks up where this model left off—with a smart floor plan and the right features for the heart of the non-slide market. Add to that Adventurer’s clean 2025 exterior graphics (no swoops), a bright, modern, and up-to-date interior and appliances, and value-focused pricing and you have the return of a winner from Adventurer.
2025 Adventurer 89RB Specifications:
The 2025 Adventurer 89RB is a hard side, non-slide, wet bath truck camper made for short or long bed trucks. The interior floor length of the 2025 Adventurer 89RB is 9’1”, the interior height is 78″, and the center of gravity is 40”. The 2025 Adventurer 89RB has a 42 gallon fresh tank, a 25 gallon grey tank, a 22 gallon black tank, and a 4 gallon water heater. It can accommodate two batteries and has two 20 pound propane tanks.

2025 Adventurer 89RBS
The Adventurer 89RBS hard-side, full-wall slide, wet bath truck camper debuted in Truck Camper Magazine in September of 2016.
Five years in development, the 9-foot 1-inch 89RBS was designed to take on one of the most competitive niches in the marketplace; 9-foot, hard side, full-wall slide out truck campers.
The 89RBS floor plan was familiar, but Adventurer brought their latest design and manufacturing to bear in an attempt to dominate. Specifically, the Adventurer 89RBS was designed to be lighter, with a better center of gravity, and more affordable.
Once again, the 89RBS pulled off the rare trick of being both long bed or short bed compatible, even with the built-in generator.
To accomplish this, the design team moved the propane compartment, battery compartment, and water heater forward. The key to this effort was placing the water heater in the passenger side cabover—a bold engineering feat we had never seen before.
The second trick was to notch out the full-wall slide (pictured above) to allow for the generator option on both long and standard short bed trucks. Again, this was something we had never seen prior to the 89RBS. Very clever.
Another stand-out of the 89RBS was the huge wet bath. Not only was the wet bath easy to access with the slide-out in, but it also had tons of toilet leg and knee room, and generous elbow room and height. If you want a big wet bath, the 89RBS has one on tap.
I reviewed the 89RBS in 2017, again at Princess Craft RV. Here’s an excerpt from my review verdict:
“At the end of the day, the 2017 Adventurer 89RBS is exactly what the Adventurer Manufacturing team designed it to be; an extremely competitive truck camper. Being generator-ready for both short bed and long bed trucks is a design triumph all by itself. Add in the impressive standard features—9-foot floor length towing sweet spot, and 38-inch center of gravity—and you have a truck camper that was primed for success from the ground up.
…Properly matched, the 2017 Adventurer 89RBS is a serious contender in the competitive 9-foot full-wall slide truck camper marketplace. Nobody looking in this popular niche should make a purchase before seeing this camper in person. If you’re shopping specification for specification, capacity for capacity, feature for feature, pound for pound, and price for price, the 89RBS is a truck camper you should not ignore.”
There’s something about a 9 foot single-slide hard side truck camper that resonates with the marketplace. Anything longer and towing becomes more challenging. Anything heavier starts to push the limits of one-ton dually trucks. Anything bigger becomes too big to seriously off-road. There’s a reason why this is a sweet spot in the marketplace. It’s truly sweet.
