Easy Truck Camper Storage Jacks
1999 Ford F-250

My old sawhorse had seen better days and it was time for a new set of storage jacks for the camper.
I ordered four aluminum jack stands from Amazon for about $50. These jack stands will support 6,000 pounds each.
Next, I visited our local Home Depot and purchased two eight-foot 4x4s, and four EPB Hot-Dip Galvanized Pier-Block Elevated Post Bases for 4×4 Nominal Lumber. These are approximately $20 each. The threads on the jack stand and the post base are the same.
I cut the 4x4s twelve inches longer than the width of the camper base. Using galvanized roofing nails, I attached the adjustable post base to the 4x4s; two per 4×4. Mine are located about sixteen inches from the end. Yours may be different.
Then I lifted out the threaded rod that comes with the aluminum jack stands and set it aside for future projects. You will need the nut. Assemble the post base and jacks stands to complete the storage jacks.
One nut goes inside the jack stand and the other on top. Put the new jack stands in place, adjust the height, and level them.
I put a set at each end of our camper. Our camper is once again level, stable, and looking good. It took me less than an hour to complete this modification and cost me $140.
