We bought a Soaring Eagle Adlar 6.5XL, which we love. It doesn’t have holding tanks, and we wanted a sink to brush our teeth in before bed and wash our hands after using the bathroom. I came up with an idea that fits perfectly in the space that we have, is easily stored for travel, and requires no installation.

Adding A Small And Simple Sink

I went to Walmart and picked up a 10-quart oil drain pan and a 1.5-gallon refrigerator water dispenser with a spout on it. I also bought a 2.5-gallon dispenser, which would work better because it holds more water, but it did not fit in my space.

I took the big drain plug out of the oil pan so the water could drain into it. Then I put the collapsible sink on top of the drain pan and placed a small USB pump faucet on top of the water dispenser. The water pumps from the dispenser into the sink, which then drains into the drain pan. When it’s full, I just plug the drain pan hole and dump out the grey water.

Adding A Small And Simple Sink With Pan

We haven’t used it for a trip yet, but it works great in my testing. I’m anxious to try it out next month when we travel.

From Walmart, I bought the oil drain pan for $10 and the water dispenser for $8. I already had the collapsible sink and USB pump. These items can easily be found on Amazon.

It took me longer to drive to Walmart than to assemble this mod. The mod cost me $18 in addition to the sink and pump I had from a previous camper.  In my opinion, the skill level of this modification is easy.
