I camped at the KOA campground in Pigeon Forge. Staying in the camper was so much fun. People were constantly coming by and looking at the camper and truck. I also got a lot of thumbs up going down the interstate. I plan on using the camper a lot more in the future. I just purchased the camper and truck in August 2018 in Minnesota. The camper and truck are in excellent condition. Many people have looked at it and talked about how they had a similar one like it when they were kids.

I departed before sunrise and had an idea that my timing may provide for a few photo opportunities on the drive out. I didn't think I would capture such an amazing shot of my rig framed with the moon setting over the Tetons at sunrise. I am really happy with how it turned out, especially with the moon and the way the front cap of my Lance just perfectly contours with the Grand. In all honesty, I didn't notice this until after I got home and looked at the photos - pretty crazy!

You just can't beat the sense of freedom and peacefulness that you can achieve when dispersed camping in the National Forest. On our most recent trip over Labor Day, we had one of our best experiences yet as we were able to setup in the perfect spot up on a ridgeline overlooking a beautiful meadow. As luck would have it, shortly after this photo was taken, a huge bull moose came out of his day bed and made his way through the meadow, just 40 yards away. It's always a treat to see wildlife, but a mature bull moose in your camp is extra special.

We want to explore the entire country, but unfortunately we only have two weeks of vacation from work a year so we make the most of the time we have. We love fall weather and we take a trip every year to celebrate our wedding anniversary. This year we drove to Wisconsin where the fall colors are beautiful! We love to go off the beaten path and camp in national forest areas where it is less crowded and more rustic. We were in the Flambeau River State Forest in the middle of the week in October and there was no one else camping and it was our favorite place of the trip.

#534 - Brent BrummertMillerstown, Pennsylvania2018 Ram 35002018 Northstar 12 STCCamera Used - iPhone 6 plusI am a Registered Nurse who recently decided to go travel nursing in southern California. In July my wife, two year old, two month old, Doberman pinscher and I moved into our special ordered Northstar 12STC to live in full time just to see if we could do it. After many trials we have started to feel like it’s home. We chose a camper with no slides so we could be as stealthy as possible since we boondock 100% of the time. We refuse to ever stay at an RV park. Recently moving to Los Angeles has exposed us to some of the worst people I have ever met. Two men tried to rob us in Costa Mesa, a hit and run to the front of our truck in Long Beach and someone last week stole several of our belongings off the rear of the camper that I forgot to lock down. The attempted robbery did not go well as they weren’t counting on seeing Hellboy (our Doberman pinscher) coming around the corner. Probably very lucky for them as my wife and I are always armed and have no problem doing whatever it takes to protect our family. As for now, the adventure continues.

We were relaxing and eating our lunch when suddenly our dog started carrying on in a way we had never quite seen. We spent some time trying to convince her to stop barking but finally realized that she was barking at something unusual in the lake just off the shore. It turned out to be a huge grizzly bear that had just left the shoreline near our lunch spot and was swimming toward Bridge Bay. After watching the bear swim for at least a half hour (we were amazed that it survived the ice cold water) we decided to continue down the road to this picnic area and cook some steaks for supper. As soon as my husband put the steaks on the grill, a fellow picnicker informed us that there had been a sub-adult male grizzly hanging around the picnic area just before we pulled in. Needless to say, we decided to eat the steaks inside the camper instead of using the lovely table pictured here!

Of course, we were reminded that Highway 2 across North Dakota and Eastern Montana has its own style of monotony! My husband found train-watching to be a pretty fun diversion, and for for the first time in my life, I agreed with him on this subject.
