We love Jasper, Alberta, Canada, and wanted to return last year to support this wonderful community after the fires that devastated the town. Although the campground had been heavily burned, it was still a lovely place to stay. The sunset over our Host, Hazel, was amazing. Pictures don’t do it justice.

I four-wheeled over rough dirt roads to reach the remote Brewer Creek Trailhead in the Mount Shasta Wilderness. From there, I hiked the Brewer Creek Trail to its end. This photo shows my camper waiting at the trailhead.
My wilderness permit allowed me to camp there overnight. I had the entire place to myself. Have you ever truly heard the sound of silence?

We enjoy traveling from Florida to Arizona, camping on beaches, staying at Harvest Hosts locations, and boondocking on BLM land. Every year, we head west for the winter and make our way to the Quartzsite rally.
We meet so many amazing people on the road and at the rally. We love our adventures and pray we can continue traveling for as long as God is willing.

I took this photo on my way home to Wyoming after attending the 2025 Colorado Flat Fender Jeep Run near Buena Vista, Colorado. I spent a week exploring the Rockies with 50 classic Jeeps. We camped at a small ranch called Thirsty Dirt Ranch.
I stopped at Muddy Pass, Colorado for a break and couldn’t resist photographing the beautiful aspens.

On a week-long trip through southeastern Oregon with a good friend, we visited hot springs, gorges, lakes, the Steens Mountains, and the Alvord Desert. I’ve owned this Tacoma since it was new. We decided to spend a night on the dry lakebed and photograph the night sky.
Around 12:30 a.m., the Milky Way lined up perfectly with the truck and camper. Using orange lights, a battery, and an inverter, I set up the camera for 30-second exposures and experimented with light painting as I captured the scene. My second attempt turned out to be the winner and remains one of my favorite photos of my camper.

This was the maiden voyage of my Outpost 6.5. After picking up the new camper, I made my way home, stopping at dispersed campsites across Colorado, Utah, Nevada, and California.
This photo was taken at my second stop near Mexican Hat, Utah. It was a scorching day along the San Juan River, but the beautiful dispersed campsite tucked beside a red rock canyon made it well worth the heat.

For ten miles, there is nothing but pure white sand. No shells, no rocks, no plants. It’s cool to the touch and unlike anywhere else. What an awesome place.
