For our 20th calendar contest, we’re opening the floodgates and calling for your all-time greatest truck camper photos—ever. Shot in 2026, 1986, or 1966, it doesn’t matter. If you took it and there’s a truck camper in the shot, it’s game on. This year’s calendar contest is going to be epic!
To celebrate our 20th Truck Camper Magazine calendar contest, we’re calling for your absolute all-time best truck camper photos. No matter when the photograph was taken, if you took it, and there’s a truck camper in the image, it counts. We’re aiming to put together the most incredible truck camper calendar ever seen on planet earth. No holds barred.
Thirteen winners will have their photos featured in the magazine, along with the stories behind their winning shots. Plus, the winners will score a free copy of the 2027 Truck Camper Magazine Calendar. Imagine seeing your moment celebrated all year long. The bragging rights will be simply unbeatable.
For nineteen years, we’ve restricted calendar entry photos to images taken during that contest year. Not this time. We’ve also not allowed previously entered photos to enter. That restriction is also being lifted.
Previous calendar winning photos are ineligible (they’ve already won), but runner-up photos or other previous entries can be entered. As long as you took the photo, and it follows our basic rules (see below), it’s legit.
Every year, this calendar becomes a snapshot of our community. This year, we are looking for irrefutable proof of who we are, how we travel, and what we’re about.
This contest may be no-holds-barred for when the photo was taken, but there are a few rules to keep things from getting completely out of hand.
1. Your photo must feature a demountable truck camper. If it doesn’t demount, it doesn’t count.
2. Minor color corrections and cropping are fine. HDR is cool, but heavy editing or filters, not so much.
3. Only submit photos you’ve personally taken.
4. Previous calendar winning photos are ineligible (they’ve already won), but runner-up photos or other previous calendar contest entries can be entered.
5. Include your name, the location of the photo, and the year, make, and model of your truck and camper with your submission.
6. Submit your photos digitally. You can send them all at once or one at a time, up to three photo entries per person.
7. Deadline: Submit your photos by 11:59 PM PST on Friday, October 9th, 2026.
8. Horizontal Photos Only: All photos must be horizontal for our calendar format (11” x 8.5”).
9. No Panos Please: Panoramic photos don’t fit a calendar page format, so stick to the standard size.
10. All photos must be taken with a six-megapixel camera (or better). Smartphones are fine if they meet this standard.
11. Submit your photos in their original resolution. No downsizing, please.
A. Chase the Golden Hour: Shoot during sunrise or sunset for that dreamy, warm glow.
B. Mix Up Your Angles: Move around and try shooting from different perspectives. Get creative!
C. Ditch the Distractions: Avoid random man-made objects. Unless it’s the star of the shot (like a cool bridge), skip it.
D. Show Off Your Rig: Include the entire truck camper—bumper to bumper and rooftop to tires.
E. Location, Location, Location: Stunning backdrops are a must. Skip boring campsites and look for epic pull-offs or scenic views.
F. Master Your Camera: Learn the ins and outs of your device. Great photos start with knowing your camera!
