What happens when you take the proven Supertramp Flagship LT pop-up, mix in innovative elements from the Supertramp Megatron, and top it off with a hard-side shell? You get the new Supertramp Flagship HT—a new hard side that’s ready to rumble.
Supertramp Campers has taken a bold new step with the launch of the Supertramp Flagship HT, a hard-sided evolution of their renowned Flagship LT pop-up camper. Designed to meet the demand for a robust yet lightweight hard-sided camper, the Flagship HT blends the best features of Supertramp’s Megatron with the proven durability and functionality of their Flagship LT.
The result? A camper that delivers 360-degree views, superior insulation, and a high-end interior vibe—all while maintaining Supertramp’s commitment to lightweight, vacuum infused fiberglass construction. With a focus on practicality, comfort, and all-season performance, the Supertramp Flagship HT is poised to attract a new wave of truck camping enthusiasts to the Colorado brand.
Oh, and did we mention that Supertramp now offers a turnkey truck and camper setup? That’s right—you can now fly in, pick up your fully built truck and Supertramp adventure rig, and drive straight into the wild (or home). This is an idea we have championed in the truck camper marketplace for years and we’re excited to see Supertramp make it happen.
To crack open the Supertramp Flagship HT story, we talked to Keith Panich, Founder and Engineer, and Kelsey Panich, Chief Operations Officer, of Supertramp Campers.
The 2025 Supertramp Flagship HT is a hard side truck camper made for short bed or long bed trucks. The interior floor length of the Supertramp Flagship HT is 82″, the interior height is 6’6″, and the width is 81.25″.
The Supertramp Flagship HT has a 24-gallon fresh tank, 5 gallon grey tank for the sink, 5 gallon grey tank for the shower, an on-demand 2.5 gallon water heater, and an optional porta-potty or portable cassette toilet. The Flagship HT comes standard with 100Ah of lithium, but can accommodate up to 800Ah. It has two 11-pound propane tanks.
Supertramp is reporting the base weight of the 2025 Supertramp Flagship HT to be 1,399 pounds. The base MSRP is $65,975. Click here to request more information about the Supertramp Flagship HT.

Is the new Supertramp Flagship HT a baby Megatron, or a hard side Flagship LT?
Keith: It’s definitely more a hard-side Flagship LT. Basically, with the amount of interest we got in a hard-side camper when we launched the Megatron last year, we knew we had to build a hard side camper. We also knew we wanted the new hard side to be more affordable.
Kelsey: The HT has some things that were directly inspired by Megatron. For example, the 360-degree windows, the way we approached the cabinetry, the tweed in the lower interior, and the suede material in the cabover. We also used the new flat-tinted Arctic Tern windows with black shades. We had a lot of ideas that came over from the Megatron.
Keith: Our Flagship LT systems are dialed-in and solid. We now have 160 Supertramp campers on the road that have been beaten up, have driven down washboard roads, and camped from -20 to 120 degrees. We took what we’ve learned from building those campers and expanded it for the HT model. The HT has exceeded our expectations. It’s a badass product.
Is the Supertramp Flagship HT 100% based on the Flagship LT?
Keith: Yes. The foundation is the same. They may look identical on the lower layout, but the Flagship HT feels like a fundamentally different product when you’re in it. It feels more high end.
Kelsey: We took some of the angles that people love about the Flagship LT and used them for our cabinetry making the interior look really streamlined. We went to a number of van shows last year and we believe the HT will be a natural step-up for people with vans. We also have heard from people who are not comfortable with a pop-up solution but want a lightweight hard side solution that’s not unwieldy to drive. We think the HT will open a whole new demographic for us.
Some will think the process of adding hard walls to the Flagship LT was a straightforward process. Was it?
Keith: It seems simple, but the devil is in the details. The challenge was getting the details right. We wanted the HT to look good, to be manufacturable, and low profile. We started with what we already had with the LT, made some important tweaks here and there, and made one new mold. It came out really well.
Kelsey: When you go inside the unit, there is no perception that there’s a two-piece solution. We’ve been showing the HT to customers and journalists and they’re taken aback when they get inside the camper. Everything carries through nicely. It doesn’t look or feel like two pieces joined together.
Is the HT top made from a single fiberglass mold?
Keith: Yes.
How are the bottom and top molds joined?
Keith: What I can say is that it’s similar to how a boat hull and deck are bonded together. I don’t want to share more than that. There’s some secret sauce.
Can someone with a Flagship LT come in and have it converted to an HT?
Keith: We knew that question was going to come up. In theory, it’s possible, but the amount we’d have to charge is not worth it. If an existing Supertramp LT customer wants an HT, we’ll help you sell your camper.
How did you determine the height of the Supertramp Flagship HT?
Keith: We got into a Flagship LT and lowered the roof until it was still spacious, but lower for center of gravity and weight. The Flagship LT is 6’9” inside—I believe the tallest in the industry. We lowered it to 6’6” for the HT. It’s still quite comfortable. There’s 33” in the cabover, which is where the Megatron is at and it’s good. You can sit up in the cabover with that height. The windows are also at a good eye level.
Kelsey: We also wanted the HT’s aesthetics to look the part. Form equals function, and we wanted to look good mounted on customer trucks.
Did you maintain the underbed storage in the Flagship HT?
Keith: Yes. It is important to us that the HT feels open and spacious inside. That’s something we’re known for. The huge amount of underbed storage meant we didn’t have to fill the cabover with cabinets.
We also wanted thoughtful storage. The upper kitchen cabinetry is a food pantry.
The lower kitchen cabinetry is for your kitchen stuff. The underbed storage is for clothing. The booth storage is for camping stuff you may not need all the time.
Underbed storage in a hard side camper is an exceptionally rare feature. You’re using the same door for the HT as the LT. Why not a full-height door?
Keith: That was something we put a lot of thought into; should we go with a full door or a three-quarters door? The answer was to keep the proven door we already use and take advantage of the additional window space that provides. Once you go in and out of our camper door a few times, you don’t think about it. It becomes second nature.
Kelsey: There might be a slight learning curve the first few times you use the door, but you gain 360 views inside the camper. For us, the most important parts are the views and light when you are inside the camper. The HT is open and inviting, and that’s hard to achieve without the windows all the way around.
How did you choose the size and location of the windows?
Keith: We wanted the biggest windows possible and as many windows as possible. We could have fit bigger windows, but they would have looked weird on the outside.
We looked at the outside aesthetically and put black wrap between the windows. The black between the windows is a design trick used in the automotive industry to make it look like one continuous piece of glass. That detail makes a nice difference.
Kelsey: We selected the Arctic Tern flat windows with a tilt-out feature, a no-see-um screen, and black-out shades. The shades have a higher-end pattern to them. We’ve used Arctic Tern for a while now and customer feedback has been foolproof.
Another design aspect that could have been revisited with a hard side camper is the bathroom. How did you approach the bathroom for the Supertramp Flagship HT?
Kelsey: We didn’t change the bathroom enclosure in the HT. One thing we have added that is optional is a Wrappon toilet. The downside of a portable cassette is the mess afterwards. It’s easier with the Wrappon or a compositing toilet. We have teak flooring for getting a composting toilet to the right height.
For the size of this camper, the shower solution in the LT is the right fit for this size camper. Our shower pan is a fantastic solution and it is what’s standard in the van market.
Are you offering the same exterior color, wrap, and graphics options that are available for the Flagship LT?
Kelsey: We offer the same exterior colors as the LT. Our colors are a big hit with our customers. The grey is the most popular with the Ford, GMC to Toyota grey. We may tweak the colors going forward to modernize.
Keith: There are no graphics on the top shell minus the black wrap to join the window.
Can I get a two-tone HT; different colors top and bottom?
Keith: Yes, it’s possible.
Kelsey: For the right price.
Are you offering the same interior color pallets?
Kelsey: We have the same Glacial Valley and Desert Mesa interior decors. Desert Mesa is going to have more colors offered.
What trucks are you targeting for the Supertramp Flagship HT?
Keith: The HT is for a full-size three-quarter ton and bigger trucks.
Kelsey: A three-quarter ton is the most popular truck for our campers. If you are going to buy a new truck, that’s what we recommend. A large demographic of our customers buy new trucks for our campers. Some are not previous truck owners and they’re getting their first rig together.
Keith: We just got our dealer’s license to sell vehicles. We have set up relationships with local dealers. If you want a Ford F-250 with your camper, give us a call. You can buy your truck online, fly in, and pick up your entire rig ready to go.
If you want a Bowen custom camper bed or suspension work, we can get that ready for you as well. No one is putting complete rigs together like that in the truck camper industry.
“You can buy your truck online, fly in, and pick up your entire rig ready to go.”
That’s a fantastic idea. What inspired that offering?
Keith: In the van market, the rig is ready to go. We want to offer that level of ready-to-go convenience. We may even spec builds with a slightly used truck. If we find a good deal, we’ll buy a truck, and put together a Supertramp and truck that’s turnkey. You can fly in and drive home with it.
Not everyone wants to do the matching research. We’ve got experience with truck camper rigs. And you can be in a badass Supertramp rig for cheaper than a built out van.
Kelsey: In the future, we want to have two trucks and Supertramp camper rigs ready for sale at any given time. As soon as summer comes around, we get calls from people who want to buy right away. There will be no decision-making needed on these truck and camper rigs; fly in and drive it home.
Are there any different appliances in the Supertramp Flagship HT versus the LT?
Kelsey: We recently went from 300-amps to 330-amps of solar and an updated Victron 100/20 solar controller. Beyond that, we’re using the same Isotherm 65L refrigerator, Truma Combi, and two Maxxair fans. We will be introducing some updates and new options for both the LT and HT in the near future.
Keith: Our campers are really energy efficient. The hard side is going to be even more efficient than the LT. Our actuators have a phantom draw of 3 watts. The HT has a 1 watt phantom draw, so really no additional power is being pulled. Our campers are efficient and, with that, the batteries last longer. Driving and solar provide power. A majority of our users have no power challenges.
What air conditioner did you select as an option? The hard side nature of the HT could open up some new possibilities.
Keith: Overall, we’re happy with our Dometic RTX 2000 air conditioner, but we are evaluating another air conditioner now.
What are the tank sizes of the 2025 Supertramp Flagship HT?
Kelsey: They are the same as the LT; 24 gallons fresh, 5 gallons of grey for the sink, 5 gallons of grey for the shower, and a 5 gallon cassette.
What size are the propane tanks and where are those tanks located?
Kelsey: The HT has two 11 pound propane tanks on a slide-out drawer located in an enclosed compartment on the passenger’s side rear.
What is the base weight for the 2025 Supertramp Flagship HT?
Keith: It came out 50 pounds heavier than the LT at 1,399 pounds dry.
That’s remarkable considering you added a hard top.
Keith: Our pop-up has actuators, mounting hardware, brackets, and steel plates that are co-molded into the shell. The soft wall fabric is 25 to 30 pounds, and it uses more epoxy. All of that adds up to about 120 pounds worth of stuff. With the HT there are about 180 pounds of composites and windows. That’s how it was only a 50 pound gain overall.
Kelsey: We deduct the weight of the jacks and propane, but include the batteries in our dry weight.
What’s included standard at that weight?
Kelsey: The same standard equipment that comes with the LT, plus the upper cabinetry of the HT. The standard equipment includes 330 watts of solar, removable jacks, a rear MOLLE panel with rear L tracks, a 100Ah lithium battery, a portable cassette toilet, 65L DC Isotherm refrigerator, a Truma Combi heater, Arctic Tern windows, two 11-pound propane tanks, under bed storage, two burner propane stove, seven Arctic Tern windows and shades, Victron MPPT charge controller, Victron DC-DC, and two Maxxair fans.
Can you tell customers what their camper is going to weigh before they pick it up?
Keith: We give them a ballpark number. If we build two campers side by side, they’re not going to weigh exactly the same. That’s the nature of fiberglass, epoxy, and paint. It doesn’t seem like much, but small differences in each process can add up.
What options are available for the 2025 Supertramp Flagship HT?
Kelsey: You can get all of the same options as the LT with one difference. The microwave stand is not available for the HT because of an overlap in storage. Otherwise, they have the same options.
What would a fully loaded 2025 Supertramp Flagship HT weigh?
Keith: About 1,800 pounds dry would be the maximum for an HT.
Where is the center of gravity on the 2025 Supertramp Flagship HT?
Keith: The HT could be perceived as top heavy but unless you drive the LT and then immediately drive the HT, you wouldn’t notice which camper was in the bed of the truck.
What is the MSRP for the 2025 Supertramp Flagship HT with standard build features?
Kelsey: The MSRP is $65,975 before tax.
How about a fully loaded Supertramp Flagship HT?
Kelsey: Fully loaded Supertramp Flagship LTs have gotten as high as $95,000. That is about the most expensive our campers can get.
What’s the warranty for the Supertramp Flagship HT?
Kelsey: I’m your first point of contact. To the best of my ability, I will try to find a service center local to you. We know that we have a premium price point product. If something needs to be done, we get it done. We do not have many warranty issues because we use the best products in our campers.
We also have tech support available. Most of the time it is an end-user learning curve. We have a network of people that we trust and we hand hold a lot. We do write-ups for techs on how to address things that come up.
Keith: There’s a standard one year warranty. Truma has great mobile tech support. We’ll definitely make it as easy as possible.
Kelsey: I recommend that potential customers look at our Facebook owners page and our Google reviews. You can see that we take care of our customers. You will have a different experience than a traditional outlet. We get to know our customers well. On the day of pick up, we do a thorough overview with our customers, a walk through of the shop, and we take you to downtown Golden for breakfast.
When will the Supertramp Flagship HT be available to order?
Kelsey: They’re available to order now. If you order an HT today, it will be ready in June. Those build slots will go fast.

Is there anything else you’d like to add about the Supertramp Flagship HT?
Keith: We used a bunch of existing knowledge and experience from our LT, but the HT feels like a different product. People will see that when they get in it. If we had launched Supertramp with the HT, I believe it would have already been a great success.
Kelsey: We took the HT on a trip to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. There were 80 mph winds that night and it was a completely calm experience inside. The windows are fantastic in the winter time and it’s wonderful to watch the sunrises and sunsets. Our pop-up performs well in the wind, but you have the wind noise.
For people who are full-time, do a lot of winter camping, or are looking for additional storage, the HT is a good fit. It’s a little taller in travel mode, but for some people, it’s the right product.
Keith: If you are torn between two, my big question is, how far are you trying to go? Do you need to squeeze into tight spots? If so, I’d steer you into our pop-up. If a majority of your trip is washboard and minor off-roading, you might prefer our hard side.
