We want to camp in the winter without having to fill our water system with antifreeze. We want to actually use all of the interior fresh water capabilities of our camper while we camp in the cold.

The outside shower is a feature that we rarely use. We believe that it is a vulnerable area to freeze in the winter when temperatures drop below freezing.

We removed the outside shower head and shower hose and cut two pieces of R3.2 insulation board that are placed into the outside shower compartment. This makes our outside shower compartment R6.4 and much less likely to freeze when we winter camp.

We have only had the camper out in mild winter conditions so far but will be testing it extensively over the next several months.

It took me 1.5 hours to complete this modification and cost me $0.  In my opinion, the skill level of this modification is easy.
