Vertical Sewer Hose Storage
1995 Ford F-350
2021 Palomino HS-8801
The sewer hose storage that came with our new truck camper left a lot to be desired. It also was only able to hold one 10-foot hose.
For a better solution, I made two storage solutions attached to each of the rear camper jacks. I used pipe clamps and a vinyl fence post. I cut the vinyl fence post to the appropriate length so it would fit both of my sewer hoses with their caps on.
Then, I attached the pipe clamps on the jacks and marked drill holes in the fence posts. I drilled the holes and attached the fence posts with a bolt, lock washer, and washer all on the inside.
I added another washer on the backside to add some additional reinforcement.
Next, I put the caps on and drilled holes all the way through. I put a bolt with washers and lock nut on the bottom, and used a wing nut on the top for easy removal. I then drilled a few holes in the bottom cap for any remaining liquids to drain out.
The vertical sewer hose holders have worked out great. I take the top cap off and the hoses slide right out. I’ve had them on for about a year now with no problems.
