Removable Hand Rail
2018 Ford F450
2018 Eagle Cap 1160
We needed a stable hand rail to get into the camper when it was on the truck. It needed to be sturdy and easily removable. I used 1-inch aluminum tubing that I had in my shop. I used a manual bending jig to get the arc.
It has worked out great. Two bolts and wing nuts hold it on when camping. It stores on the ladder when we are underway.
It took me four hours to complete this modification and cost me less than $50 for the pipe. In my opinion, the skill level of this modification is not hard with the right jig.
