Above and below: Before the remodeling
I wanted to get rid of all the carpeting and wood tones and give my camper a bright and airy beach house decor.
To start, I completely tore out the old carpets and valances. Then I painted the interior. The valances were replaced with lightweight industrial piping.
I stripped the ugly plastic edge molding everywhere and replaced it with twisted rope to stay with the theme.
I also removed and painted the white window trim black and added new hardware, flooring and a backsplash.
There are stainless or black faces on the appliances.
I painted the stove hood black. There is LED lighting throughout. Twelve-volt USB outlets were installed with phone holders.
The pictures tell the story. It is excellent! It gets loads of compliments and people are asking for ideas to do their own campers.
It took me 40-hours to complete this modification and cost me $2,000. In my opinion, the skill level of this modification is medium.
