Jack Shoes for Camper Jacks

Instead of manually positioning the rubber jack pads each time putting the jacks down, I searched SnapPad for what would fit the Happijac jacks (2″ square tube and rectangular foot 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2 “). I had no luck, so I came up with this idea.
Since I already had two sets of the rubber jack pads to spare, I just needed to get some hardware; 2” x 1/4″ carriage bolts, flat washers, split washers, and nuts.
If I had a bandsaw it would have gone much quicker and smoother. Alas, I made do with an old dull jigsaw and a hacksaw.
There was some trial and error to ensure fitment, but about two hours later… they work!
One rubber pad is under the foot and the cutout one is on top. They’re first bolted together loosely and then tightened. Voila!
Materials Used
2 sets of RV rubber jack pads at about $47.59 CAD each ($95.18)
Nuts, bolts and washers approximately $13.00
It took me two and a half hours to complete this modification and cost me $110 CAD.
