Fold-Up Landing and Entry Steps
2019 Ford F350
2019 Lance 955
We wanted a stable entry into the camper for our 10 year old dogs and humans.
I fabricated the deck from steel with a plexiglass bottom. Then, I painted it with PPG custom matched automotive paint and installed rubber decking for anti-slip.
I added detachable MORyde Quick Connect 3-step entry steps (after modifying them to make them narrower).
I used a continuous hinge to attach to the bumper for folding up during travel. The existing step bracket was used to install a retainer to hold the steps up.
A bracket was made on the ladder to hold the steps when they are removed.
The fold-up steps are awesome and super stable. This stable entry gives us more room coming out of the camper.
It took me 12-hours to complete this modification and cost me $500. In my opinion, the skill level of this modification is hard.
