My camper needed a riser to clear my new 2024 Ford F-350.
To make this mod, I used two 4×8 plywood boards that were 15/32 thick. I placed a 4×8 rigid foam board between the plywood. I put a 2×6 bump stop at the front of the bed.
The sides were trimmed in with blocks. I made 2×6 boxes as camper guides to assist when dropping my camper into the bed of the truck.
The rubber mat is 4 feet by 8 feet. I put the mat on top of the top piece of plywood.
It has worked out well so far!
The total total cost was $250. I bought the rubber mat from Amazon and the rest of the materials at Home Depot. It took me six hours to make and adjust the angles.
