Adding A Wardrobe Shelf
2017 Ram 2500
2017 Cirrus 820
I used a 1-inch aluminum angle to build the side cleats. To secure the shelf from any forward movement, I over-cut the top edge and bent them up (see picture above). 1-inch aluminum angle was attached to the top of the shelf to retain items from sliding off. I used several pieces of 3M tape to attach the lip.
You can also see the screws into the sidewall and underneath the angle that goes into the bottom of the shelf. I pre-drilled these holes and used all stainless-steel wood screws. You must be cognizant of the length of the screw. You do not want to run one through the shelf, or the sidewall.
The shelf was purchased from Home Depot. To my surprise, the finish of the shelf was almost identical to the wood color inside my camper.

It was about $25 for the aluminum and the shelf and took about an hour to install. It is an easy mod.
