This glacier is life-altering and standing in front of it makes you feel so small. It is the largest roadside-accessible glacier in North America. We visited on our way down from Alaska to the Lower 48.

I’ve never seen it but the vibe here fits that movie.

They are well maintained and the staff members are very friendly and helpful.

As we were making our way south along the west coast we found an amazing boon docking spot between Port au Mal and Port au Port that was at least mile out onto a sand spit. We had water on 3 sides of us and had the place mostly to ourselves.

We were returning to the campground from a ranger led hike on the Tablelands in Gros Morne National Park and decided to stop to visit Southeast Brook Falls despite the fact that it was raining. The trail was quite short but full of beautiful ferns and the falls were awesome. Definitely worth getting wet for.

Robson Provincial Park was a side trip we took after visiting Canada’s Jasper National Park. This image was captured in the visitor center parking lot with Mt. Robson, Canada’s highest peak at almost 13K feet, looming imposingly in the background. We were fascinated by how the sky was mostly clear, yet the mountain’s top was capped by a swirling cloud much like a dollop of whip cream on a sundae.

The Lance was custom made at Lance, as it has generator, air conditioning, dual larger propane tanks, and features from the Legend. The quality of this year reflects by everything working today. Minimal maintenance needed. We remain active campers at 70, and hope to continue using the Lance until we head to the campground in heaven.

It is a great spot to meet up with others not camping. We bring a Jeep, kayaks and mountain bikes. Most mornings have fog on the pond so we park with the best view. There are multiple trails in the area and historical sites to see. It’s a short drive to Leadville, Colorado.

This was one of the first evenings that we could consider sitting around the campfire. The temperature was hovering just above the freezing point, but the fire provided a soothing warmth. We were enjoying our first glimpse of the stars all week, when Mother Nature decided to put on an amazing show for us. We were at least 30 miles from the nearest paved road, and further than that from the the nearest artificial light source. I have lived in the North for a number of years, and have seen the Aurora many times. It is as special to me each and every time as it was the first time. I have had trailers, vans, and motorhomes, in the past, but none can out perform a truck camper in the rugged north. We had full timed for a few years prior to settling in The Yukon, and after a few planned mods on this unit, we will full time again.

We stopped at a Harvest Hosts at a distillery way off the beaten path from the usual tourist places. We met wonderful people who were of Acadian decent and spoke an odd version of English and French combined. They were local fishermen and shared stories and information about lobster fishing and their culture. It was a memorable evening and an opportunity to camp in a beautiful setting.

We have been going here for years. We love the river, hiking, fishing, camping. When we left we stopped along the N Umpqua at the Dry Creek Store for gas. They pump your gas here; they are so kind and friendly. This place is old school. You actually go into the store and tell the cashier how much you owe them. The N Umpqua River is truly a treasure.

While we stayed in the park at Chéticamp National Park, for much of our stay we camped at Whycocomagh Provincial Park which gave us excellent access to Baddeck and many of the other festival event sites. Autumn colors in Cape Breton were beautiful and were enhanced by some earlier rain.

We first discovered Alabama Hills about 10 years ago, before restrictions were placed. We took a chance with the first-come-first-served policy and secured this site. A site of many film productions and most recently a Mercedes Benz SUV commercial. It’s as rugged looking as it was 200 years ago (minus the graded roads). The winds can howl during the evenings, leaving the skies clear in the mornings.

The camper has 65 gallons of fresh water and we use an inverter generator to help. There were over 400 truck campers at this rally.

I was inside working on dinner, when I noticed a weird light in the sky outside. I was looking at it, trying to figure out what it was, and all of a sudden it clicked that it was a rocket launch.I shut off the stove, grabbed my camera, and ran outside. I managed to snap a couple quick pictures of rocket and my rig while admiring the whole moment! For a bonus, the bright dot on the bottom right is Venus. If you're ever in the desert southwest, keep an eye on the SpaceX launch schedule from Vandenberg AFB, especially around sunset.

This was a planned off-road adventure as part of our 2025 Summer Journey. This trail is located somewhat 20 miles Northwest of the town of Tonopah, Arizona. It is known as Big Horn Mountain Trail (BLM 9349) and runs between Hummingbird Springs Wilderness Area and Big Horn Mountain Wilderness Area. There was very little information on this trail and I only found only one YouTube video on the entire trail.BLM 9349 would turn out to be a huge challenge for our TC rig with many deep washout cutting across the trail, pin stripping and a lot of sand wash crossing. End of the trail run would be just outside of the Big Horn Mountain Wilderness area where we would camp for the night with a light rain throughout the night. The next day there was still another 10 miles to get off the trail and back to I-10 to continual our journey.

Our base camp was at the Greenbelt Campground in Greenbelt, Maryland approximately 30-minute drive away from the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. With the help of my BFF, the park was discovered on-line, featuring a 172-site campground and is open year-round. The campground is known for its affordability, safety, peaceful surroundings, and National Park Service hospitality. Campers must pay for sites via the online reservation system.

The road follows the path of historic mining and freight wagon routes. It passes through the historic ghost towns of Custer and Bonanza, the Yankee Fork Dredge, and other sites related to the gold rush era. The colors of fall were everywhere! The quaking aspens along the way were so bright!

They had just had some flash flooding the week prior and the wildflowers were blooming. Some of the campgrounds are first come first serve, so took a chance and found the White Tank campground empty except for the hikers enjoying the Arch Rock and Heart Rock trail. This campground is tight and not good for any size trailer. We also enjoyed hiking the cool boulders and awesome rock formations before heading back to Arizona.
