Sixteen years ago yesterday, we started Truck Camper Magazine as an impossible dream. Our celebrations could have been off the hook but everyone forgot. Wait, stop the press…
On Thursday, January 26th (yesterday) Truck Camper Magazine turned 16. Sadly we both feel a bit like Samantha Baker (Molly Ringwald) in the 1984 John Hughes film Sixteen Candles.
Everyone forgot our birthday! Not a phone call, email or text. No red Porsche 944. No Jake Ryan. No, “What’s happenin’ hot stuff?” Nothing. Nary a Tweet. So sad.
Stop the press! It turns out we actually did get a really nice anniversary note from Matt M., a reader who saw our 16th Anniversary in his 2023 Truck Camper Magazine Calendar. Thank you, Matt! You are officially the TCM Reader of the Month. As for the rest of you…
In all seriousness (if that’s possible from yours truly) Angela and I are very excited that Truck Camper Magazine can now legally drive the truck. And we’re even more grateful to everyone for reading and supporting TCM all these years. Thank you truck camper industry and community!
For anyone who’s curious about how Truck Camper Magazine was founded (it’s a humdinger), please grab yourself a beverage and read, “Truck Camper Magazine: The Never Before Told Story”. We published the in depth account for our 10 year anniversary in 2017 and – even though I lived it – the tumultuous tale remains unbelievable to this day. How did all that really happen?
To celebrate our 15th anniversary later year we published a fun infographic showcasing some of the insane statistics we’ve racked up. If you like images and data, this quick read is a milestone.
Thank you for supporting TCM! And look out! This magazine is driving.
