Have You Visited Capitol Reef National Park?

We are currently developing a feature on truck camping in Capitol Reef National Park and its surrounding areas. If you have taken a truck camper into Capitol Reef National Park, please tell us about your experience.

For this destination article, anything related to truck camping in and around Capitol Reef National Park in Utah is welcome (see map above).  The more off-road, off-the-grid, and unique, the better!

Please include where you camped when you visited whether it was a campground nearby or a dry camping/boondocking spot.

If there are any important details, like the difficulty of a road you drove or a tip to make the visit more enjoyable, please include that below as well.

At least one photo is mandatory, but more are preferred. Your submission will be published as part of the upcoming feature story. Thank you!

We have gotten a lot of responses mentioning the wonderful pies and camping at Fruita Campground (which is great, but if you have different ideas, they are very much appreciated).
