Go RVing Launches Unexpected Video Series

Go RVing has just announced an all-new marketing campaign focused on using smaller and more versatile RVs as basecamps for active outdoor lifestyles and adventures.

As a demonstration of this new campaign, Go RVing commissioned professional adventure skier, Brody Leven, and filmmaker, Adam Clark, to produce a four-part video series featuring four RV types.

Brody Leven travels the world in pursuit of mountains and volcanoes to climb (no chairlifts) and ski.  Along the way he advocates for environmental awareness, public land protection, and avalanche education.  He also competes in ultra-marathons and dons a suit once a year to engage Congress on climate change.

The inspirational lifestyle videos – titled, “Unexpected” – offer beautiful production values and should appeal to anyone who enjoys truck camping and winter sports.  Two of the videos showcase a 2019 Lance 1172 double-slide truck camper with the optional Mountain Scene exterior graphics. Have a look:

Truck Camper Magazine is thrilled to see the RVIA and Go RVing campaign demonstrate an increased interest in the truck camper marketplace.  The “Unexpected” videos, and the previously announced, “Living On the Fly” Lance Camper video, are strong indicators that the RVIA and GoRVing campaign are renewing their dedication to the truck camper marketplace.

The RVIA continues to promise additional improvements to their truck camper marketing and sales data reporting.  The new videos are a good start, but we are still hoping to see more progress on the critical issues described in the August, 2017 TCM article, “The Go RVing Truck Camper Challenge”.

As a side note, Bob Rogers, Marketing Director for Lance Campers, personally drove the Lance 1172 and Ford F350 featured in the “Unexpected” videos from Lance Campers in Lancaster, California to the video shoot location in Salt Lake City, Utah.  As he explained it to us, Lance’s RVIA membership, the availability of the truck and camper, and the willingness to drive to Utah (and back) helped make these videos possible.
