John Testa
Carrizo Plain National Monument, California
2024 Ford F-250
2012 Outfitter Apex 8
Camera Used – iPhone 14

My wife and I had a few free days during the week, so we drove up to the Carrizo Plain for a couple of nights. I try to get out there every year, and this year was especially great because the blooms came early.

Steve Tucker
Edmonds, Washington
2005 Chevrolet Silverado 2500
2020 Adventurer 80RB
Camera Used – iPhone

This was part of a “Grand Tour of Friends’ Driveways” that I took last fall. I only visited friends with flat driveways. If they lived on a hill, they didn’t see me!

Michele Godfrey
Williams, Arizona
2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
2024 Soaring Eagle Aldar 6.5
Camera Used – iPhone 16 Pro Max

I had just picked up my camper the week before from Bob’s RV in Ceres, California. I decided to try it out with a little side-by-side riding and exploring, including a trip to the Grand Canyon. It’s my best buy yet, and I absolutely love my camper.

Ralph Lowery
Garnet, Montana
2018 RAM 3500
2020 Arctic Fox 996
Camera Used – iPhone XR

We were camping near Garnet Ghost Town and Coloma Ghost Town, just outside Missoula, Montana. We enjoyed the private retreat with no one nearby, except for the ghosts of miners. It was great to get away from the city and enjoy the mountain views.

Wall, South Dakota
2018 RAM 3500
2020 Arctic Fox 996
Camera Used – iPhone XR

We were on our way to Montana for a seasonal job and took a break in the Badlands to enjoy the peace and quiet. We also spent a day in Wall, South Dakota, stopping for water and coffee. The Badlands were beautiful and quiet.

The Badlands is a perfect place for a truck camper to enjoy a beautiful day and be completely alone.

Lawrence Moonan
Buellton, California
2017 Ford F-350
2008 Lance 1055
Camera Used – iPhone 14 Pro

As two working professionals living in Monterey, California, my wife and I have the opportunity to see some amazing places within a short two to four-hour drive from our home. Our time is limited, but we often leave on a Friday evening with our trusty Lab, Finn, and arrive at our scenic weekend campsite at Free Dog Farms just a few hours later. We still have much of the state to explore, but there’s nothing more relaxing than a mini vacation in our truck camper.

Kimberly Cooper
Eloy, Arizona
2025 5500
2025 Host Yukon
Camera Used – Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra

I caught a beautiful Arizona sunset while camping on a friend’s land in the desert.

We spent the night in Tombstone at a Harvest Hosts location called Third and Survey Properties. We loved how the sites were decorated with fairy lights.

Keith Evans
Crane, Oregon
2016 RAM  2500
2015 Palomino SS-1240
Camera Used – Apple iPhone 7 Plus

We had a small rainstorm pass through while camping at Crystal Crane Hot Springs (now called Crane Hot Springs) in Crane, Oregon. This place has always been special to us. It sits exactly halfway between our home in Northern Nevada and our family in Eugene, Oregon, which helps break up the drive. Relaxing in the hot springs with those beautiful views made it even better.

David W
British Columbia, Canada
2011 Ford F-250
2016 Palomino SS-550
Camera Used – iPhone 12

This was from a road trip through British Columbia that we took a couple of years ago. We stopped for the view, some lunch, and a short hike up a trail we spotted on the mountain. We had a great time.

Stu Turner
Johnson Valley, California
2023 Toyota Tacoma
2025 Scout Yoho
Camera Used – Sony A7

We were camping in Johnson Valley, California, for the King of the Hammers event.

Chuck Farris
North Platte River, Casper, Wyoming
2024 GMC 2500
2024 Palomino SS-1251

We travel to Wyoming each fall. This is the sunrise reflecting off the North Platte River outside Casper, Wyoming, at the Buffaloberry Campground.

Paul Loeffelholz
Prince Edward Island, Canada
2024 Ford F-350
2018 Palomino Real Lite
Camera Used – iPhone

The truck camper lifestyle works perfectly for mountain bike road trips. I usually take a longer trip in September through Colorado and several other states. This year, the plan was to stay in Canada and head to the East Coast, linking mountain bike destinations through New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.

Carolyn Askew
Ajo, Arizona
1999 Ford F-350
2014 Arctic Fox 990
Camera Used – Android OnePlus 12R

We were boondocking south of Ajo, Arizona, and were fortunate enough to catch this Starlink launch from Vandenberg. The full moon lit up the truck and camper, and made for a great shot.
