Our very first outing! We went straight to the beach parking just hours after picking it up. It was one of our most favorite sunsets yet!

We were trying to spend January and February last winter in a warmer place than our north Georgia home. I had planned and reserved campsites in Florida. Escribano Point is on the west side of East Bay which is the western boundary of Pensacola.
We were there the week of the polar vortex and temperatures were quite cold for Florida (below freezing on several nights). As such, we pretty much had the place to ourselves every day although campers would come in late evening and leave early in the morning. It is one of the most beautiful free campsites found in the southeast. No hook-ups, but there are trash receptacles and a porta-John.

This camper has been on three different trucks and has traveled over 100,000 miles. It is still in great shape. We love our Lance! This trip was taken during a Super Bloom year at Carrizo. We arrived after dark, so we found a place on the side of the dirt road to camp and woke up to a bit of rain and flowers everywhere.

It was my first time using the 2000 Palomino truck camper after I bought it used on Craigslist. I made an awning buy using two flag pole holders and 1/2 inch PVC pipes. I also added extra electrical wall heater to a factory gas heater and a Buddy heater, car stereo, portable TV with DVD player and other minor upgrades.
From April 14th to 17th, I camped three nights at Zion National Park South Campground. My truck camper is probably the most ugly one in the campground; however, the background in the memorable photo is so beautiful. Functionally, I like my truck camper a lot. One of these days I would like to replace it.

At 78 years old, I am full time on the road traveling solo. My camper is tucked into the Cedar trees high on a hill in Modena, Utah. I’ve been boondocking for weeks riding my KTM off-road motorcycle exploring the vast desert area with many dirt roads, rocky river beds, sand gullies, and ravines.

This picture was taken in southern Utah on Route 95 through Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. What a scenic drive through amazing canyons. We stopped here for the night and were treated to a beautiful sunset.

This is from a BBQ competition at the George Ingall Equestrian Center. My truck is also pulling a 26 foot porch trailer with two smokers on the porch (seen next to the camper).
