The team at Cube Series has been busy evolving its unique hard-side pop-up non-cabover camper concept. The big news? Linak actuators with 10,000 newtons of push/pull force!
Based in Redmond, Oregon, Cube Series launched in Truck Camper Magazine in July of 2023 with a technology-packed tour de force.
The 88-inch square hard side pop-up cabover-less campers are specifically designed for mid-size trucks like the Toyota Tacoma and Ford Ranger and feature vacuum-infused fiberglass panels to maximize strength and minimize weight.
The Cube Series includes a small kitchen, hidden cassette toilet, water system, 5-gallon propane tank, dual-burner stove, and a 160 amp-hour lithium battery. A solar controller is standard, and additional power upgrades are available.
The interior is built with aluminum framing and laser-cut aluminum cabinetry. This camper is absolutely packed with technology and innovation.
Cube Series operates its manufacturing facility using a cutting-edge combination of precision design and manufacturing tools. These include Autodesk Fusion 360 for CAD modeling, vacuum-infusion for fiberglass parts, laser welding for their aluminum cabinetry, and 3D printing for parts.
Since its launch, Cube Series has been steadily improving its lift system, including two major updates to the electric actuators. Rick Wise, Co-Founder of Cube Series, recently revealed the ultimate update to this vital component—Linak DK 6430 electric actuators from Denmark.
The Linaks are rated to 10,000 newtons (2,248 pounds) of force, offer both manual control and a CAN-bus interface, and are extremely rugged, including an IP rating for weather sealing. These are premium actuators, but Rick explained that they’re the absolute best solution for Cube Series truck campers.
While we were studying their latest version, Rick also shared some very exciting truck camper concepts still in development. While we can’t share that information yet, we can reveal that Cube Series will have new model news in the near future.
