Palomino RV unveils a list of 2025 updates across their hard side and pop-up truck camper lines. Get cookin’ with the propane quick disconnect, sit back in the Thomas Payne theater seats, and shoot for the Moon Shade!
As a company, Palomino always has new models and model year updates ready by mid-September. This is the one time every year when we find out exactly what the Palomino team has been up to and what’s on deck for the following year. Until that time, mums the word.
This year the Colon, Michigan team introduced the all-new Palomino HS-3201 hard side, non-slide with a huge split dry bath. Alongside that major new camper announcement, they also had a number of model year updates across their hard side and soft side camper lines. What’s funny is that one of the updates we’ve listed below actually wasn’t listed by Palomino, but is indeed new—and rolled our socks up and down. It happens.
What we appreciated most about Palomino’s 2025 updates is how they demonstrate a team that’s listening to its dealer and end-user customer base, and making changes and improvements accordingly. We can also confirm that the Palomino team reads Truck Camper Magazine, and pays attention to our reader polls. With that all in mind, here are Palomino’s 2025 model year updates. Guess which one rolled our socks.
Standard White Interior (all 2025 hard sides)

Palomino introduced a white interior last year with the launch of their HS-3210; a hard side, full-wall slide-out, dry bath truck camper. According to Palomino, the white interior was so popular that they are announcing it across the board for all Palomino hard sides in 2025.
This update is definitely on trend and gives Palomino hard side campers a brighter and more modern aesthetic. Palomino also kept the greys to a minimum and warmed up the interiors with a wood-tone flooring and a tan front cabover nose texture that adds depth.

The real idea is to give you—potential future Palomino owner—a canvas on which to add your own personality and accents. Paint an accent wall. Throw in some matching pillows in the dinette and cabover. Hang a 2025 Truck Camper Magazine Calendar for inspiration. Make it yours!
Standard Propane Quick Disconnect (all 2025 models)
If there’s one thing most truck campers can agree on, it’s grilling. We know more than one fellow truck camper who brings not one, but two grills with them when they go truck camping. Why? Because one grill is bigger, or electric, or what if the first grill gets stolen by the Bandido Prairie Dog Gang in Badlands National Park—and we’re hungry? We’ve heard most of these reasons.
To accommodate our passion for grilling, Palomino is adding a quick disconnect right at the propane regulator. They even had a sweet demo set-up for us including a grill mount for a Rieco-Titan jack and a Titan Flame grill. While we’re unfamiliar with the Titan Flame model (our readers love the Webber Q1000 Baby Q and the Blackstone 1971) Palomino is definitely cooking with gas by offering this new feature.
Standard new two-burner cooktop (soft sides)
About two years ago, slender two-burner cooktops started to appear on the market. At first blush, the efficient design makes total sense freeing up a huge amount of countertop space. They’re also quite elegant.
With Forrest River purchasing power behind them, Palomino selected a Greystone model (CF-RVHOB12) with auto ignition, LED lit knobs, and a flush and folding cover. It’s a good-looking unit, and a new standard in 2025 Palomino soft-side models.
Standard new sink and faucet (soft sides)
In addition to the new two-burner cooktops, Palomino soft sides are getting a new stainless steel sink and faucet to up the modern vibe ante. It’s always tough for a manufacturer to balance sink size and countertop space, but this sink and faucet combination seems to be about right for pop-up truck campers.
Standard DC-to-DC charger (all models)
We were very excited to learn Palomino is offering a DC-to-DC charger standard for 2025. This is a product most truck camper companies don’t yet offer as an option, but Palomino is making it standard.
DC-to-DC charging is a hot topic in the truck camper world because it allows truck alternators to super charge our camper batteries while driving. If you are the kind of truck camper owner who tends to drive every day, a quality DC-to-DC charger could keep your camper battery bank topped off. Of course, it all depends on how much power your truck alternator can provide, how much power the DC-to-DC charger can handle, and your typical camper battery use.
Optional insulated soft wall option (soft sides)
There’s a perception that pop-up truck campers are only for fair weather. And by fair weather, I mean above-freezing temperatures—aka, late spring, summer, and early fall.
While this perception may be true for some pop-up campers, it’s definitely not the rule. We have camped in pop-up truck campers in cold weather and nearly melted from the output of a built-in propane furnace in a relatively small space. The other important ingredient to pop-up camping in the winter is an insulated soft wall.
For 2025, Palomino is offering exactly that. Now when you purchase a 2025 Palomino pop-up model, you’ll have the opportunity to opt for an insulated soft wall that will keep you toasty when the temperatures drop.
Optional Moon Shade (soft sides)
Go to any truck camper rally or gathering and you’ll find plenty of folks in their favorite camp chairs enjoying a beverage of choice under a side awning. Unfortunately, awnings don’t always go where they need to be to block the sun and can be a bit of a pain to set up and take down.
At Palomino’s new model year presentation, they had a huge Moon Shade setup between campers. The product was suction-cupped to two campers and created a dry space (it was raining) that could easily have accommodated three or more people in chairs.
What appealed to us was the size and apparent simplicity of the installation (suction cups and extended legs, plus the fact that it didn’t need to be permanently attached to the side of a camper. This design is likely to appeal to folks who need a larger shaded area, and/or don’t want the cost or hassle of an awning.
For 2025, Palomino is introducing the Moon Shade as an option. From what we saw, this option has legs.
Optional Thomas Payne Theater Seating (HS-2902, HS-2910, and HS-3210)
When we walked into the HS-3210 at the Elkhart RV Open House, we did a double take. Where the standard face-to-face dinette normally goes were two Thomas Payne (Lippert) leatherette reclining theater seats with LED ambient lighting, swiveling tables, cup holders, and a middle storage nook.
This is exactly the set-up many readers have been clamoring for. And yes, they are way more comfortable than any dinette was ever been. We would still prefer a face-to-face dinette for laptop work, but what a treat to have this level of comfort in a truck camper. And the seats look fabulous to boot. Where did our socks roll up and down? Right here.
Standard Hard bathroom door (HS-3210 only)
Another HS-3210 change we noticed was the hard bathroom door. When the HS-3210 launched in late 2023, the dry bath had a split door. Evidently, the dealer and consumer feedback was to change this door and Palomino listened. Admittedly, the hard door is much more intuitive and easy to use. Sometimes small changes make a big difference.
Until Next Year
The Palomino truck camper team is guaranteed to have another round of model year updates and maybe even another new truck camper—designed and developed by the production team—for us next fall. We can’t wait.
Until then, Palomino offers some of the best values on the market for both hard side and pop-up truck campers. Looking for an aluminum framed, vacuum-bonded truck camper with a price that feels more like 2019 than 2025? Palomino has a hard side and pop-up production line for you.
