Wardrobe to Pantry Using Container Store Rack
2014 Ford F-350
2016 Eagle Cap 1165
In our Eagle Cap 1165, there’s a tall wardrobe closet just inside the door, and very little pantry room. For this mod we converted the wardrobe closet into a pantry.
We bought an Elfa wire rack shelving unit from the Container Store. Only one wall was sturdy enough to attach the wire rack frame.
Then I put together the frame per the instructions. Once completed, I set the frame inside the cabinet and screwed it to the wall with two screws in the pre-drilled holes.
We tested the unit in late February on a snow ski trip to Colorado. It worked out perfectly. Now we have a proper pantry in our camper.
It took me about 30-minutes to complete this modification. It cost me less than $200. The Elfa unit was 30-percent off at the Container Store. In my opinion, the skill level of this modification is easy since I had all tools needed for the installation.
