Storage Cube Dog Steps

We bought our first camper recently. Our main concern was how our small dogs could get up into and out of the overact bed safely.
I was playing around with different cardboard boxes to see what we could build, and by chance, I grabbed one of our 15-inch storage cube ottomans. It fit great but wasn’t quite tall enough. I went on Amazon and bought two storage cubes that were 15-inches wide but 17-inches tall with their wooden feet. They nestle in perfectly and slightly wedged in place. They are just below the refrigerator.
Using these storage cubes are perfect! The dogs are comfortable jumping up to the bed, and they can safely get down as well. The cubes have a triple purpose, as we all know space in a truck camper is limited.
Obviously, we use them for storage. We keep drinking water jugs and bottles of wine in them. Having things in them also helps keep them heavy enough to not move around. Even better, when we are relaxing on the lower couch, we can move them to use as ottomans for our feet.
For this mod, I bought two Songmics 15-inch cube storage ottomans for $45 each on Amazon.
It took me one hour to measure and find the right ottomans and cost me $90. In my opinion, the skill level of this modification is super easy.
