I haven’t met anyone who doesn’t enjoy an outdoor shower. My wife and I certainly do. However, one of us has a more highly developed sense of modesty than the other. We had to figure out how to shower outdoors when there are neighbors present. This mod allows for an outdoor shower to take place with modesty intact.
With some PVC pipe and fittings and double-sided tape, a shower curtain rod system is easily installed (and uninstalled). Simply add a curtain. The base of the rod system is permanently attached to the side of the camper. The other parts are inserted and the curtain is added.
The mod has worked as anticipated. The only problem has been on very windy days. I will add some small weights to the bottom of the curtain to keep it from blowing around too much.
The PVC pipe and fittings and the double-sided tape were purchased from Lowes. The shower curtain (6-feet by 6-feet) was purchased on line.
It took me two-hours to complete this modification and cost me $50. In my opinion, the skill level of this modification is medium.
