More Visibility Using Krylon Fusion for Plastics
2018 Ram 1500
2018 Phoenix Popup
We wanted to preserve our night vision when going out of our camper. The typical porch light is enough to light up the entire campsite and several others. On the other hand, it was imperative to have adequate lighting on the steps as a fall at our age could be disastrous.
Our custom builder, Robbie Rowe at Phoenix Campers, added a small footlight at the bottom of the door that is switched independently of the porch light. This light is just enough to illuminate the bumper and steps.
We use a Rubbermaid 2-Step Molded Plastic Stool to enter the camper. I wanted to add even more visibility, so we painted the step area on the bumper and the steps on the Rubbermaid stool white to enhance nighttime visibility.
The paint I used is just white paint, but it’s specifically used on plastic. It’s called Krylon Fusion for Plastics, #2320 Gloss White.
It’s been an excellent modification. Now we can easily see the steps in the dark. The paint we used has held up much better than expected.
It took me two hours to complete this modification and cost me $10. In my opinion, the skill level of this modification is easy.
