What Portable Vacuum Goes Truck Camping?

If your truck camper floors are spotless, you’re not having enough fun. From dirt to sand, a portable vacuum can be a necessity. What portable vacuum do you take truck camping?

Portable Vacuum Poll

Unless you only park on the pavement, truck camping is a mess. We’re always tracking in dirt, sand, small rocks, grass, and leaves. This is the natural consequence of going on fantastic hikes through the woods, long walks on the beach, or simply strolling across a campground. Fun camping makes dirt.

Adding to this situation, having two people and a cat living in a small space seems to create its own debris. A breadcrumb here, a coffee ground there. Even the cleanest of truck camper owners probably wouldn’t invite in the white glove inspection team after a day or two of camping. Maybe you’re Mr. and Mrs. Clean in your camper, but we would totally fail.

To fight back the endless onslaught, we have two prized weapons; a full-sized broom, and a portable battery-powered vacuum. The full-sized broom makes quick work of the linoleum hallway floor but doesn’t finish the job. That’s where our lithium-ion powered vacuum comes in; tucked crevices, inside cabinets, the dinette footwell area, and beyond. It’s all quick work with our portable battery-powered vacuum.
