NATCOA Pacific Northwest Spring Caravan
Columbia River Gorge, Washington and Oregon
Organizer: Please contact Rich Bain if you have any questions.
There are 4 remaining slots available. Please sign up through Eventbrite.
Here are the specifics, and Rich Bain’s description:
“We are excited to announce the NATCOA Pacific Northwest Spring Caravan. It will be a six night caravan along the Columbia River Gorge on the Washington and Oregon state lines. I still have four openings available. To participate, sign up through Eventbrite.
We will start just east of Umatilla, Oregon and end up at the fairgrounds in Astoria, Oregon. A big section of the trip will be on the Washington side of the river corridor on Highway 14.
There will be several stops along each section of the drive to look at the sights, take in the history of the area, and even a stop at a winery as well. Each leg of the drive will be around sixty miles. In total it will be about 320-miles in length.
We will stay one night at each location with the exception of one of the stops where we will be for two nights. Some of the overnight stops will be dry camping while others will have some hookups.
Please be advised that there is a section of this caravan that goes through some lower tunnels. There is one short tunnel that is 12’3″ in height, but that is the lowest point along the road. The tunnel is an arch, so as long as you stay off the shoulder, you will be fine.
There is no fee to join the caravan. You pay for your sites upon arrival that have a fee. Again, some are dry camping and there is no fee.
While most of my events are truck camper themed, the caravan is open to all classes of RVs, this one is for truck campers or other small RV’s. Due to available space at some of the stops it would not work well with a large RV.
The caravan will be maxed out to ten rigs.
So how does this caravan sound to you? If it sounds like a fun time, simply sign up via the Eventbrite link.”
