I took a trip up the west coast, but always swung by a bakery in Oregon on the I-5 called Heaven on Earth. Huge cinnamon rolls! On the way up, I saw a sign for Wolf Creek. We took the off-ramp and headed over to check it out and found the Wolf Creek Inn. We had been up this way many times, but never saw this sign until I was plotting our course to the bakery.

Wolf Creek is an unincorporated community in Josephine County, Oregon, United States, just off Interstate 5. There are a number of creeks in Oregon named Wolf Creek, after the wolves that were once abundant in the state.

This was taken the week of Independence Day outside of Silverton, Colorado. I found this nice secluded spot of BLM land. So we stayed there a week and enjoyed the sights of the area in our Jeep Wrangler and stayed for the Independence Day parade and fireworks show. It was 38 degrees in the morning in July. Gotta love that.

We had moved to the bullpen, an area where you must stay at night in the off-road zone. The sunset was beautiful, so we snapped a photo. We love to spend the weekend on the beach in our camper.

We found this unique spot after a little bit of off-grid camping research. This spot requires some light off-road driving to get to, but it’s well worth the few miles of adventure to get there. Beware that it is probably impassable during rare wet weather, so pay attention to the forecast before committing to the drive. Sunrises and sunsets here are indescribably beautiful. This area has been featured in several movies and TV shows, such as Planet of the Apes and Star Trek episodes. It truly is like being on another planet!

We were just going out for a couple of days as a shakedown for a longer trip coming up. But we wanted to do something fun, too. So we went to a nearby soaring glider airport and took a ride while dry camping in their parking lot overnight. We took a ride in one of their gliders, and I got this shot as we were coming in for the landing. Not the sharpest picture, but it was cool to see the camper from the glider!

On a three week off-road journey with friends in Utah and Arizona, we had three days up in Cathedral Valley in Capitol Reef National Park with perfect weather and three 4X4s and five good buddies. We pulled into the section with the Temples of the Sun and Moon, and the Sun did not disappoint over its appointed namesake! A place not to be passed up by all of us who enjoy the dirt!

My wife and I love the Florida Keys. Bahia Honda is probably one of the most beautiful state parks we have visited. We’re fairly new to truck camping. It’s been about two years, and in that tim,e this is our second Adventurer. Our first one was an Adventurer 80S in 2018. We really enjoy the room of the Adventurer 116DS. We are totally hooked. We go out every 3 to 4 weeks. Love the life.

We went one day early to the Disney World area so we could get to the Ft Wilderness campground the next day. We wanted to be there early enough to take advantage of free admittance to the Disney Water Park on the first day, staying at the resort. Lake Louisa State Park was an excellent option.

What was going to be a relaxing weekend at home turned into a last-minute camping trip where my wife, daughter, and I just loaded up on a Friday at 4pm and headed north. We drove the edge of rim road 300 in our newly acquired (to us) truck camper for two weeks and found one of the most epic camp spots we’ve ever stayed at. This spot is perched on the edge of the Mogollon Rim overlooking the Tonto National Forest to the south. What started as a random, no-agenda camp weekend turned out to be one of the best weekends camping as a family, including an epic hike on the Horton Creek trail down to a natural spring at the bottom of the rim called Horton Spring.

We spent one month driving around Newfoundland, mostly boondocking somewhere on a cliffside, overlooking the ocean! One of our stops was Bonavista, so we could go see the puffins. Using Facebook groups and the iOverlander app, we had found lots of boondocking spots in Bonavista, and the best ones were at the Dungeon Provincial Park (a UNESCO Geosite) close to Cape Bonavista Lighthouse. We spent two nights at this spot, enjoying the different vistas in the park. It was very windy, and sometimes we wondered if we would tip over! Every area and everyone in Newfoundland was spectacular, and I highly recommend everyone do this trip. Everywhere we went, it was clear that truck campers were the choice of many travelers to tour Newfoundland.
