REV Group to Sell Lance Camper

REV Group has announced it is selling Lance Camper as part of a strategic shift toward motorized RVs. Lance will continue normal operations in Lancaster, California during the transition. Here’s what we know.

REV Group Selling Lance Campers

Big changes are coming for Lance Camper. REV Group, the parent company of Lance Camper Manufacturing Corporation, has officially announced plans to sell the company. The news broke during REV Group’s Q2 2025 earnings call, where company leadership laid out the reasoning behind the decision and what it could mean for the future of Lance.

Why Is REV Selling Lance?

According to REV Group’s President and CEO, Mark Skonieczny, the move is part of a broader effort to streamline operations and focus on what REV sees as its most scalable and profitable business units. In that equation, Lance—REV’s only non-motorized RV brand—no longer fits the picture.

Skonieczny pointed out that Lance’s physical location in Lancaster, California, has also created logistical and operational hurdles. Lance is geographically isolated from the rest of REV’s operations which are predominantly in the East and Midwest. That distance has made it difficult to integrate Lance into the company’s broader strategic and operational goals.

What’s Next for Lance?

While REV is actively talking to potential buyers, Lance reports it’s business as usual. The company has made it clear that production, customer service, and day-to-day operations are continuing uninterrupted.

As far as questions about the sale go, Lance is referring all inquiries to REV Group for now. The details of who might buy the company, or when a deal could be finalized, haven’t been disclosed.

While we don’t yet know who the new owner will be, this transition could mark the beginning of a new chapter for Lance Camper. The brand has a strong legacy in the truck camper and travel trailer space, and a new owner could bring fresh energy, or a new strategy entirely.

For longtime Lance customers and dealers, the key message Lance communicates is that nothing has changed on the ground. Lance is still building campers, supporting its dealer network, and serving its loyal customer base.

This move by REV Group signals a strategic pivot toward higher-margin, motorized products. For Lance, it’s an opportunity, though with uncertainty in the short term. All eyes are now on who steps up to acquire this iconic RV brand, and what direction they’ll take it next.

Stay tuned. We’ll be following this story closely.
