The third annual Pennsylvania Truck Camper Rally is set for September 18–21, 2025, and it’s all happening at the scenic Squarewood Acres Campground in the heart of the Allegheny Mountains.
Frank and Kim Mertes, longtime truck camper enthusiasts and rally hosts, are pulling out all the stops for a weekend filled with laughs, connection, and good old-fashioned camper camaraderie. “We’re putting together an unforgettable weekend,” they say. “It’s all about fun, friendships, and making memories.”
The fun begins with a casual Meet and Greet as folks roll in. It’s the perfect opportunity to catch up with old friends and meet new ones. Then it’s game time with the always hilarious “Family Feud – Rally Edition,” hosted by the one and only “Apple.” If you’re feeling active, bring your bike for a relaxed group ride through the winding back roads.
Back at camp, enjoy the popular Beer and Soda Swap hosted by Todd and Erica. Bring a local brew, rare soda, or your personal favorite and trade with others. The fun continues with SINGO (yes, that’s Bingo with music), and the always-entertaining LRC dice game. Add in some evening campfires, great conversations, and plenty of laughter, and you’ve got yourself a rally.
There’s also a potluck meal in the works, and if all goes according to plan, a visit from a local food truck to top things off.
All of this is available for a $25 donation per adult. The contribution goes directly toward rally expenses and a few fun extras.
Over the years, this rally has become something truly special. As Frank and Kim put it, “We’ve made so many lifelong friends through these rallies. The knowledge, stories, and sense of community are priceless.”
