What would happen if Northwood Manufacturing built a Wolf Creek truck camper inspired directly by their best-selling Arctic Fox 990? Introducing the long bed Wolf Creek 910. If you like storage, this is your Wolf Creek!
Imagine taking an Arctic Fox 990, eliminating the slide out, keeping the floor length, layout, features, and premium appliances—and removing hundreds of pounds. Impossible? Well, Northwood Manufacturing just did it.
Over the past decade, non-slide truck campers have become in vogue. Slide-outs are still sought by a significant portion of the marketplace, but non-slides are no longer the lesser tier. In fact, many who once desired the added space and floor plan possibilities of slide-out campers have since returned to non-slide simplicity.
Northwood has long thought about a 9-foot, 10-inch version of their hard side, non-slide Wolf Creek line. For folks who tow, that floor length is right on the money while offering a generous and comfortable interior space for camping. That’s been the formula for the best-selling Arctic Fox 990 for a couple of decades. It only makes sense the same formula will be successful in a Wolf Creek package.
Beyond that clear reasoning, I suspect there might be another marketplace opportunity for the new Wolf Creek 910—owners of older Arctic 990s who may now want a lighter, non-slide camper. The funny part is that the 910 should feel like a significant step up from an older 990. Ready for an 8 cubic foot 12-volt compressor refrigerator, 400 watts of solar standard, a fiberglass nose cap, and a lighter, brighter interior? The Wolf Creek 910 has it.
For a deep dive into the Wolf Creek 910, we talked to Lance Rinker, Director of Materials and Marketing, and Tony Carman, Draftsman for Northwood Manufacturing.

The last Wolf Creek model launch was the 890 in late 2020—perhaps our favorite Northwood model alongside the Arctic Fox 865. How has that model performed in the marketplace?
Lance: The Wolf Creek 890 has been very well received. In fact, the 890 is starting to catch up to the Wolf Creek 850, our best-selling Wolf Creek model. The 890 is gaining momentum.
What’s the backstory on the new 2025 Wolf Creek 910?
Tony: The idea for the 910 floor plan had been in the back of my mind for a while. It has the same floor length as the Arctic Fox 990, our most popular Arctic Fox model. It made sense that this floor length would eventually be used for a Wolf Creek model.
I had three different floor plans drawn up when our Chief Sales Officer, Donald Cochran, expressed interest in moving forward with it. We combined some of his ideas with mine and ultimately agreed on the 910 floor plan as our favorite.
That’s funny. Our very next question was going to be how the 910 feels like a non-slide Wolf Creek version of the Arctic Fox 990.
Tony: The 990 was definitely part of the thinking for the 910. We made some minor adjustments after the 910 prototype. Originally, we had a squared-off dinette similar to the 890, but it felt tight, especially at the corner of the shower and dinette. To address this, we tapered the dinette, which not only created a more open feel but also improved the overall aesthetics.
Lance: When I walked in and saw the side-aisle galley and counter space combined with the tapered dinette, it felt incredibly wide open for a non-slide camper.
Tony: The storage capacity in this camper is also incredible. It’s designed for comfort and ease of use.
All three Wolf Creek models are aimed at more capable three-quarter-ton and one-ton single rear-wheel trucks. How do you see customers choosing between the three models?
Tony: It’s really about personal preference. Customers will select the model that best fits their camping style and specific needs.
Lance: Some customers prefer the dinette bunk option in the 850, while others might prioritize storage or counter space. The 910’s open space, rear bath, and more spacious aisle are strong selling points.
With its 9-foot, 10-inch floor plan, is the 910 designed for both short and long-bed trucks?
Tony: With its 47.5 inch center of gravity, the Wolf Creek 910 is best suited for long bed trucks. As you know, pairing the right truck with the right camper is crucial to the overall truck camping experience.
The wide-open kitchen design, cabinetry storage, and countertop space are impressive. How much of the lower cabinetry is open for storage?
Tony: It’s not completely open, but there is storage. To the left under the sink, you’ll find the battery box and furnace. Across from the kitchen, the lower dinette opens up to provide clear storage.
Does the dinette utilize the Dream Dinette table system and convert into a bed?
Tony: Yes. The dinette bed is 40 inches tapering to 32 inches wide, by 72.25 inches long.
With the rear closet, drawers, storage above the dinette, and massive kitchen storage, does the Wolf Creek 910 have more interior storage than the 890 and 850?
Lance: Yes, the 910 has the most storage of any Wolf Creek model. The wardrobe has two adjustable shelves, so you can use it for hanging clothes or shelving.
Did you develop a new wet bath for the Wolf Creek 910, or is it used in other models?
Tony: It’s the exact same fiberglass mold as the one used in the Wolf Creek 850.
Fiberglass wet baths are incredibly durable, easy to clean, and space-saving due to their integrated design.
Are there interior fabric choices for the Wolf Creek 910?
Lance: The Wolf Creek fabric options are the same as those for the Arctic Fox. For 2025, the choices are Carbon and Moonstone.
Tony: We’ve also introduced a new cabinetry finish called Wiley Oak, which is lighter and brighter. It’s more about accent colors now rather than dominant fabric colors.
Northwood selected the Coleman Mach 10 11K BTU air conditioner for the Wolf Creek 910. What made you continue with that model?
Lance: It’s the gold standard in air conditioners—powerful, efficient, and reliable. Despite being an 11K BTU unit, it’s a power-saver model. It’s capable of keeping the camper at the desired temperature with ease.
We aim to build things to be better than they need to be. We overbuild so our products overperform.
We have a ten year old Coleman Mach 8 that’s been very reliable. What size basement does the Wolf Creek 910 have?
Tony: It’s the same 7 inch high basement height as the other Wolf Creek models.
We noticed the truck storage access door on the 910, a rare feature on a basement camper. How do you see those being used?
Tony: Yes, the 910 has a truck storage access door on the driver’s side. The area in front of the wheel well provides a lot of usable space. You can store anything from soda packs to tools and equipment.
In previous campers we’ve owned or tested we’ve used that space for everything from gallon water jugs to dirty shoes. Are the Furrion kitchen components in the 910 the same as those in Arctic Fox campers?
Lance: Yes. There’s a Furrion refrigerator, cooktop, optional oven, and microwave/air fryer. We’re committed to high standards. Regardless of whether you’re buying a Wolf Creek or an Arctic Fox, you’re getting high-quality components.
To be clear, the Wolf Creek 910 has the same 8 cubic foot, 12-volt Furrion refrigerator as the Arctic Fox units?
Lance: Yes. And it’s connected to the SolX 4 400-watt FSI solar panels.

What type of windows are standard on the Wolf Creek 910?
Lance: The same glass thermal pane windows we use in all our products. We have experience with these windows and know they perform. One of our mandates is that people like natural light and windows in a camper.
Above: The Fox Landing is designed to accommodate towing and make entering and exiting the camper more comfortable
What entry step system and bumper is standard with the Wolf Creek 910?
Lance: It’s our standard aluminum Fox Landing Ready bumper and step, but at least half of the Wolf Creek campers go out the door with a Fox Landing bumper system. Most customers also install the mid-step to make the exit and entry into the camper more comfortable.
Installing the Fox Landing is an easy upgrade. Our service department can directly ship a Fox Landing to a customer to add it themselves. If you’re comfortable with basic tools, it lines right up.
Can you get a built-in generator with the Wolf Creek 910?
Tony: Yes. We offer a 2.5 Onan LP generator with the 910.
Tell us about the standard battery bank in the Wolf Creek 910. What can fit in that space?
Tony: The sealed battery compartment is the same size as most of our Arctic Fox models at 12-5/8″ tall, 16-5/8 wide, and 18″ deep. This space can accommodate two Group 24 through Group 31 sizes in either lead acid or lithium batteries.
What are the tank sizes for the 2025 Wolf Creek 910?
Tony: The Wolf Creek 910 has 36 gallons of fresh, 25 gallons of grey, and 20 gallons of black.
Those sizes are a bit smaller than the Wolf Creek 890. Is that due to the layout of the 910?
Tony: Yes. On the 890, the bathroom is on the opposite side allowing us to put larger tanks in the basement. Floor plans often dictate the size of tanks among other design considerations.
What size are the propane tanks and where are they located?
Tony: There are two 20-pound vertical tanks located in the bathroom under the wet bath counter and sink.
What is the base weight for the 2025 Wolf Creek 910?
Tony: An average unit, nicely equipped, weighs around 2,630 pounds.
What is the MSRP for the 2025 Wolf Creek 910 with standard build features?
Lance: It’s $38,832 without the mandatory Wolf Pack options package. With the Wolf Pack, air conditioner and generator, it’s $46,063.
What is the warranty for the Wolf Creek 910?
Lance: It’s the same as all Northwood products: one-year bumper-to-bumper warranty, plus separate warranties for the appliances. If anyone has any warranty questions, our Service and Warranty department is available to help.

When will the Wolf Creek 910 be available at dealerships?
Tony: The first run of 30 units has already shipped out to our dealer network. A second run of 30 units is scheduled for mid-January.
Is there anything else you’d like to add about the Wolf Creek 910?
Lance: I’m happy to report that based off input from our initial run, the 910 is already a certified hit! Dealers and customers are consistently commenting positively about the incredible counter space and overall open feeling.
Are there any other new Wolf Creek or Arctic Fox models coming in 2025?
Tony: There are at least two new floor plans in the works so, stay tuned!
Lance: We are also working on a couple of new options that we are very excited about. We’ll keep you updated. The truck camper market has always been very good to us, and we are fully invested in continuing to expand our offerings in both Arctic Fox and Wolf Creek.
Maybe more than any other segment, truck camper owners are passionate about their RVing lifestyle. It is our experience that truck camper owners do an above average amount of research before selecting what brand, make, and model to purchase and we do our best to listen to what they are looking for.
