FINAL VOTE: 2027 TCM Calendar Contest Finalists

The first round was ruthless. 449 photos entered. Only 24 made the cut. Now comes the ultimate challenge: picking your top five. The competition is fierce, the stakes are high, and thirteen coveted calendar spots are on the line. Truck campers, it’s time to finish what you started!

2027 Calendar Final Vote

The 2027 Calendar Contest finalists have been chosen, and the competition is heating up. Did your first-round favorites make it through? With 24 incredible photographs still standing, choosing just 5 might be the toughest decision you make all year.

Fortunately, truck campers aren’t known for backing down from a challenge. We’re the squeeze-into-that-campsite, take-the-road-less-traveled, figure-it-out-as-we-go crowd. We’ve conquered questionable forest roads, stubborn camper jacks, and campsites that looked a whole lot bigger on Google Maps. Surely we can handle this.

Five votes. Twenty-four finalists. Thirteen calendar spots. The pressure is on, and the final decision is yours. Let the final vote begin!

All 13 calendar winners will have their winning photographs and the stories behind them featured in Truck Camper Magazine. The 13 winners will also receive a free 2027 Truck Camper Magazine Calendar.

Finalist voting starts now and ends Wednesday, October 28th at 11:59 PM PST. The 24 finalists from the first calendar vote are in numerical order below:

We found a great spot on the point to camp for the night and enjoyed an incredible sunset and moonrise. With bad weather expected the following day, most people had already left the island, so we had the beach almost to ourselves. This camper has been perfect for adventures with my kids, from the mountains in the summer to the coast in the spring and fall.

We decided to find the most remote beach we could reach with our 4x4s. After five hours on single-lane logging roads, we discovered this secluded cove. As soon as I found a place to park, I jumped out to photograph the truck. It felt like we had traveled back to 1970, driving on the sand with no one else around.

Many campsites are nestled right up against the towering red rock formations, and bighorn sheep often make an appearance. For this shot, we got an early start on a crisp, sunny winter morning when few cars would be on the park road. I waited at the top of a crest while the truck camper approached and snapped the photo at just the right moment!

I spent two months in California this summer, and this was my last stop before heading into Oregon to go crabbing with some friends for the first time.I came from Lassen Volcanic National Park and only had a day and a half to see the redwoods between work. I didn't realize how spread out the redwood national and state parks were, and unfortunately, I came west right through the middle of the parks. With my short schedule, I would have had to give up several sights to drive south to the Avenue of the Giants. I really wanted to find somewhere else I could get up close and personal with my truck camper without heading in the wrong direction. The Grove of Titans was the perfect opportunity to do just that and ended up being my favorite part of the parks. I spent an afternoon hiking, taking photos, and having lunch underneath the redwood canopy.

The spot ticked all the boxes for my perfect location, with a turquoise river, snow-capped mountains in the background, and solitude. We were the only ones in the campsite. The previous evening was the first in a while where it had been warm enough to sit outside and truly enjoy our surroundings. We naively didn't believe the forecast of snow. The next morning, not only did we wake up to our first dusting of snow, but we were greeted with the most spectacular sunrise. It was a truly amazing start to the day and, just over six months into the trip, it is still one of our favorite camping spots.

We had set out to explore a different kind of camping, getting away from established campgrounds and finding places where the truck camper could really take us.We found this incredible spot tucked into the desert formations and decided it was too good to pass up. As the sun dropped, the canyon walls lit up in beautiful golden light, and the whole campsite seemed to glow.It ended up being one of those places that perfectly captured why we bought a truck camper in the first place: the freedom to get off the beaten path, find an amazing place, and call it home for the night.
