2026 Dream Truck Survey

If a murder of truck camping crows suddenly swooped down and carried off your beloved pickup in a flurry of feathers and fury, what would you get to replace it? Would you choose the same setup, or go with a new make, model, or configuration? Take the Eighth Bi-Annual TCM Dream Truck Survey!

Truck stuff happens. Engines blow gaskets and throw rods. Transmissions lose fluid and overheat. Alternators terminate and starters become non-starters. No problem? Look out! Everyone else on the road is apparently doing everything but pay attention. Who says you can’t shave, text, and eat a Whopper with a pinky toe on the wheel at 75 mph?

Never mind the rusting ravages of time, nature’s flooding and fires, and falling trees that somehow miss everything but your pickup. Still good? Well, there’s Rodney, the otherwise mild-mannered rodent, who’s busy chewing on your wiring harness and turning your firewall into a cozy studio apartment. It’s actually quite comfy.

None of that’s happened? I wouldn’t crow about it. Luck has wings and can fly away at any time. Like I said, truck stuff happens.

The question is, what truck camping truck would you get next? This isn’t just some cheap pickup line. It’s a serious question that informs the truck camper industry what trucks to design and build for.
