What’s On Your Truck Camper Bucket List?

When the opportunity presents itself, Angela and I dream of truck camping in Nova Scotia, Alaska, and Australia.  While we have been to Alaska and Nova Scotia on cruises, we haven’t seen them via truck camper.  In other words, we haven’t really seen them yet.

In my wilder dreams, we would venture down into Mexico and continue into South America.  In my wildest of wildest dreams, we would then go to Africa, Europe, and Asia.  I don’t think I have that kind of courage, but I sure wish I did.  In my lifetime, I would like to have that experience.

Fifteen years ago, just crossing the United States and exploring Canada seemed like a nearly impossible quest.  Since then we’ve been cross-country a half-dozen times and crossed and back into Canada three times.  It’s amazing to think that we were once apprehensive about driving from the East Coast to the West Coast.  Now everything is just down the road.  Perhaps we will feel that way about the rest of the world someday.

If we had to get more specific, and more realistic, about our near-term truck camping bucket list, I would say the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta in New Mexico (Angela), Burning Man in Black Rock Desert, Nevada (Gordon), and as many National Parks and Monuments as we can possibly fit in (both of us).

This week’s Question of the Week is, “What’s on your truck camping bucket list?”  Where do you want to go truck camping in the future?  Is there an event or destination that’s calling you?  We want to know!
