“On-site Jamboree registration will be open from 3:00pm to 4:00pm on Wednesday, September 17th. At the registration table will be tickets for the solar panel drawing, the 50/50 raffle, and the popular Saturday night raffle table ($20 for 40 tickets).
Registration is also the time to pay for the Hershey Park tickets (email Mike Tassinari by September 1st to get the discounted tickets) and sign up for the Dog Maze and Death By Chocolate competition. The North-East Jamboree clothing line will also be available.
Throughout the weekend there will be numerous opportunities to win a five pound chocolate bar, the first of which will be the Campfire Story and Sing-A-Song at the campfire Wednesday night after the dessert meet-and-greet.
Thursday is buzzing with activity with a newbie seminar, Torklift International’s “Guess the Weight” of the Talon competition, a tech seminar, the Left-Right-Center game with a five pound chocolate bar prize, campfire, and a movie.
Friday will start with a safety seminar with our own Truck Camper Magazine contributor, Gary Whistler. There will also be a camper storage demo, the dog maze competition, BINGO with a five pound chocolate prize, the group picture, potluck supper, Death By Chocolate competition, raffle drawings, and campfire.
Saturday the bus leaves for Hershey Park at 8:30am sharp! For those who do not go to Hershey Park, there will be a Honda Generator hour meter install and an Onan propane generator trouble shooting and repair seminar.
A hot dog roast will start at 5:30. Once the Hershey Park attendees get back, there will be a chocolate fountain and ice cream social with the last five pound chocolate give away.
On Sunday there will be a farewell breakfast featuring chocolate pancakes.”
Gordon, Harley, and I will be there in our 2014 Ram 3500 and our new “mystery” camper. We hope you can come out and join the fun! If you haven’t signed up already, call the Gettysburg Campground to reserve a campsite and then email Mike Tassinari to register.
