DEBUT #1: Coyote RV Debuts Custom Ford Raptor Camper

Robby Rowe is up to his usual unusual custom truck camper tricks again. This time a Coyote RV customer requested a special black on black camper to match his black on black 2010 Ford Raptor SVT.  The result is one dark and handsome truck camper rig.

The Ford Raptor SVT is designed for the high-speed off-road desert rigors of the Baja 1000 where the truck finished third in it’s class.  This may be the first matching the Ford Raptor has had with a truck camper and the combination should make for a very capable off-road rig.

We would really like to see this rig at next year’s Overland Expo.  How about it Robby?  Bring the Zebra and the Raptor to the Expo!

DEBUT #2: Coyote RV Debuts the Avalanche Camper

When we visited Coyote RV in May, Robby was hard at work modeling a truck camper for a Chevy Avalanche.  When we left, he had just started to construct the model in wood to see if the shape and design was right before framing the camper in aluminum for the final build.

Now six weeks later, we’re looking at the finished Coyote Avalanche Camper.  Together with the recent Zebra and Raptor, the Avalanche is something of a hat trick for Robby.

While this remains a one-off custom camper, Robby did indicate to us that he’s interested in building more Avalanche campers now that he has a proof of concept.  With nearly 600,000 Chevy Avalanches on the road, Robby may be onto something.  Nice work Coyote RV!
