Northstar brought their time tested line of pop-up and hard side campers to Louisville 2009. Here's a close up look at the 2010 Northstar 850SC pop-up. ![]() On day two of the Louisville show, Angela returned to the Northstar booth to take a closer look at a 2010 Northstar 850SC pop-up camper. Rex Willett, Vice President of Northstar, was on hand to explain why the 850SC is one of Northstar’s most popular models. For starters, Rex stated that the 850SC is a self-contained truck camper that is well suited to half or three-quarter ton trucks. Further diversifying this camper’s compatibility, the 850SC fits both long and short bed trucks. Other features of the 850 SC include a cassette toilet system, a thirty gallon fresh water tank, and a fifteen gallon grey water tank. The extended cabover on the 850SC allows for north-south sleeping. And Rex was sure to point out that the floors of the 850SC are double tiered and 100% foam insulated. While Northstar chose not to bring a new model to the show, it’s clear that they have developed and refined a strong line of popular pop-up and hard side campers. Based on our conversations with Rex at the show, Northstar will continue to have plenty of innovations and exciting new camper products in the future. He even tipped his hand about a possible 2010 product that’s on the drawing boards. Oh the suspense.
